Kingston Releases SSDNow KC310 960GB Business-Class SSD

Kingston has officially released the SSDNow KC310 SSD, its largest business-class solid-state drive specifically designed for entry-level servers and datacenter hosting companies. The KC310 features a Phison PS3110-S10 eight-channel controller with a DDR3 DRAM cache and a quad-core processor for high SATA Rev. 3.0 (6Gb/s) performance for faster read/write speeds and IOPS.

The KC310 also features end-to-end data protection via Advanced SmartECC as well as Flash error code correction. In the event of a drive error, the KC310 is able to rebuild the lost data. The data is also protected via a frimware-based power loss protection system which constantly moves the data to the NAND to minimize the amount of time it stays in the cache.

“Kingston is proud to add this drive to our line of business SSDs for users who want or need nearly 1TB in storage,” said Nathan Su, Flash Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, Kingston. “Corporate customers looking to upgrade client systems will also find KC310 ideal for entry-level servers with its combination of read/write speeds, IOPS, high capacity and advanced data protection.”

So if you’re trying to build your first server or opening up a new hosting business then the KC310 might be the perfect SSD for you. More information on the new SSD can be found on the Kingston website.
